This week’s episode of Feed Your Health talks about failure and effort. We often stand in our own way and let our fear of failure prevent us from even trying. We’ve been taught to believe that failure and effort are bad, leading us to have a fixed mindset around our ability to grow. In this episode, I discuss how changing your perspective around failure from one of negativity to one of neutrality could benefit your progress. When you teach yourself that you are safe – even when you fail – you can push yourself out of your comfort zone. You can use failure as a chance to develop a growth mindset. Do you find that your fear of failure is preventing you from trying? Are you afraid of hard effort? Do you convince yourself to micro-quit? Learning to recognize that failure is not a barrier to progress is one of the biggest things you can do on your transformational journey. You’ll also hear me dive briefly into how our negativity bias can hold us back. When you speak to yourself from a place of kindness, you can become aware of why you might be afraid of failure – and then work through that and remove the tension from your body. This might be a short episode, but it packs a little punch. I hope you enjoy it, and please leave me a rating or review!
